Halo black history month social
343 Industries  |  Microsoft  |  Designer & Animator  |  2022
Part of my job as a visual designer at 343 was to create assets for social media for the many Diversity & Inclusion initiatives the studio has. One such initiative is for Black History Month in which I was tasked with using the Pan-African flag in a clean, sophisticated design that works for 343 and Halo Infinite. Below is the final design that was chosen by the team -- it depicts the Zeta Halo used in the key art of Halo Infinite styled with the Pan-African flag colors.
Final Animated Graphic
With plenty of time to spare in the project timeline, I opted to animate the chosen design to help sell the connection between the design and Halo Infinite. I also chose to animate the Xbox BHM patterns in the design for further cohesion between the 343 and Xbox brands. Each video loops seamlessly.

Alternate Design
This design was the second one chosen during early feedback with key stakeholders. As I had some additional free time on my hands between revisions, I chose to animate this one as well, as I felt it showcased the many strong black characters within the Halo franchise across all media.
